	San Diego's KFx Medical Corporation Files Patent Infringement Suit Against Arthrex SAN DIEGO, Calif., August 2, 2011 KFx Medical Corporation (http://www.kfxmedical.com), a San Diego based medical devices company that develops and manufactures soft tissue fixation implants and bone anchors used in orthopedic surgeries and sports medicine procedures (including overhead athletes such as baseball and football players), announced today that it filed a patent infringement lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California against Arthrex, Inc., a Naples, Florida based company. In the suit, KFx Medical alleges that Arthrex infringed and continues to infringe a KFx Medical patent (United States Patent No. 7,585,311) that broadly covers the method of knotless double row rotator cuff repair. The U.S. Patent Office rejected all arguments made by the anonymous party and upheld the KFx Medical patent.
