James H. Liu, MD

Dr. Liu is chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University Hospitals MacDonald Women's Hospital and professor and chair of the Department of Reproductive Biology at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine.

Dr. Liu is nationally recognized in the field of reproductive endocrinology and infertility and was named one of The Best Doctors in America. He is subspecialty trained and board certified in the evaluation of endocrinologic diseases ranging from abnormal puberty to disorders of normal reproduction (infertility, endometriosis, PMS, amenorrhea, polycystic ovarian disease) to the natural process of menopause. He has expertise in the medical treatment of menopause, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, and ovulation induction. He is also an expert in microsurgery, hysteroscopy, as well as operative and laser laparoscopy.

Dr. Liu serves on multiple committees in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and he is on the editorial boards of the Clinical Journal of Women's Health and the Journal of the Society for Gynecologic Investigation. Dr. Liu has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles and chapters.
